Balance and Imbalance:Art Market and Contemporary Art Ecology in China

艺术市场既具有交易平台的基本功能,也是对艺术生态秩序起到调节作用的主要因子。这种调节作用可以导致艺术生态内部秩序在平衡与失衡之间摇摆。在我国当代的艺术生态发展历程中,艺术市场既能通过为艺术生态提供经济支持、激发艺术生态活力来协助其建立新秩序,又会因其进攻性的扩张而带来一系列问题。本文着重从这一视角分析我国当代艺术市场在艺术生态中的作用。

Art market functions as a trading platform basically,and is a main factor in regulating the order of art ecology,which causes the internal order of art ecology to swing between balance and imbalance.In the development of contemporary art ecology in China,art market helps establish a new order by providing financial support for art ecology and making it more vibrant,while causes a series of problems due to its aggressive expansion.This paper focuses on analyzing the role of China’s contemporary art market in art ecology from this perspective.
