The construction and function as well as the failure characteristics of 40t aluminium holding furnace were introduced brief⁃ly,and the reasons of lining failure of 40 t aluminium holding furnace were analyzed from eight aspects,then the measures for prolong⁃ing service life of aluminium holding furnace lining were discussed from nine aspects,and only for the reference of the same industry.
