General Secretary Xi Jinping formally put forward the important proposition that“the essence of ideological and political courses is reasoning”when he visited Renmin University of China.The appearance context of this important proposition includes three dimensions:text context,time context and space context.Theoretically,this important proposition includes defining the fundamental characteristics of the nature of ideological and political education,scientifically explaining the essential requirements of ideological and political education,and effectively solving the problems of the times in the construction of ideological and political education.From a practical point of view,this important proposition includes innovative paths to realize the reasoning of ideological and political courses,such as“paying attention to ways and methods”,“explaining the truth deeply and vividly”and“teachers’devoted teaching and students’keen understanding”.In order to promote the high-quality development of ideological and political courses in the new era,it is of great theoretical significance and practical value to sort out and analyze this important proposition theoretically.
