《朝野佥载》是唐代青钱学士张鷟撰写的一部小说集,行文自由洒脱记载了当时社会中的遗闻轶事以及言语面貌,其中8项内容涉及社会生活面较广,都是作者的所闻所见,故事主线以武后朝事迹为主,揭露当时的人间困苦、政治的黑暗面,另有星象占卜、奇闻异事、治病医例、内容颇为混杂。《朝野佥载》文学与史学结合的独特面貌,是史述到小说的过渡形态,文章语言运用娴熟灵活,作者应用夸张、虚构等艺术手段,让内容变得栩栩如生,具有古典小说集的现实主义色彩,站在文学立场其语言运用有着颇大的研究价值。
