摘要
As a young journalist from Barbados, thousands of miles across the world, the opportunity to visit China was one I simply could not pass up. It’s a big country with a massive population and has such a significant influence on world affairs, and yet I felt like I knew so little about it. Of course, we read articles and watch news items every now and again about the political affairs involving China and sports to an extent, but not much about the country’s culture and people.
