The silver forging(锻造)techniques of the Miao are unique.All of the ornaments(饰物)are handmade,giving each one a special character and value.It is very complicated to make a piece of silver ornament,and needs more than 30 steps.A set of silver ornaments can weigh over 15 kilograms.During festivals,weddings or important occasions(场合),Miaogirlsalwaysadorn(装饰)themselves in silver from head to toe.
