教育传播视域下开放大学案例研究——以英国开放大学(OU)为例

A Case Study of Open University from the Perspective of Educational Communication—Taking The Open University (OU) of the United Kingdom as an Example

随着社会发展与技术进步,我国开放教育逐渐步入改革深水区。开放教育作为远程传播教育的关键性产物,其持续发展离不开对教育传播的本源探索与结构创新。为加快我国开放教育高质量发展,从教育传播的视域出发,以开放教育领域典型案例——英国开放大学为研究对象,基于马来茨克传播模型构建案例分析框架,对英国开放大学的机构特征、教育资源、教育媒体、学习者、教育效果等关键要素进行深度剖析,重点在于探索其实施策略及其背后缘由。而后,在充分考虑我国开放教育实践现状及困顿之处的基础上,对开放大学后续发展提出了建议,以期为开放大学改革发展提供参考借鉴。

With social development and technological progress,China s open education has gradually entered the deepwater area of reform.As a key product of distance communication education,the sustainable development of open education is inseparable from the exploration of the origin and structural innovation of educational communication.In order to speed up the high-quality development of open education in China,this paper takes a typical case in the field of open education—The Open University of the United Kingdom as the research object from the perspective of educational communication,and constructs a case analysis framework based on the Maltsk communication model.This paper makes an in-depth analysis of the key elements of The Open University of the United Kingdom,such as institutional characteristics,educational resources,educational media,learners and educational effects,focusing on exploring its implementation strategies and the reasons behind them.Then,some suggestions are put forward for the follow-up development of open universities on the basis of fully considering the current situation and difficulties of the practice of open education in China,in order to provide reference for the reform and development of open universities.
