青少年成长型思维与抑郁的关系:推理能力和注意能力的中介作用

The relationship between growth mindset and depression:the mediating role of reasoning and attention abilities in adolescents

目的探讨青少年成长型思维与抑郁之间的关系及相关机制,为预防青少年抑郁提供理论参考。方法采取整群抽样方法随机选取4所中学共2471名学生为研究对象,使用成长思维量表、注意/推理能力测验和流调中心用抑郁量表进行调查,分析推理能力和注意能力在青少年成长型思维与抑郁之间的中介作用。结果成长型思维与抑郁呈显著负相关(r=-0.38,P<0.01)。中介分析表明,成长型思维可通过推理能力和注意能力的中介作用预测青少年抑郁,该直接效应(β=-0.89)和中介效应(β=-0.34)分别占总效应的72.19%和27.81%。结论成长型思维不仅能够直接负向预测抑郁,而且能够通过推理能力和注意能力的中介作用负向预测抑郁。

Objective This study aimed to investigate the relationship between growth mindset and depression in adolescents as well as the underlying mechanisms,providing theoretical reference for the prevention of adolescent depression.Methods A cluster random sampling method was used to select 2,471 students from four middle schools as the research subjects.The Growth Mindset Scale,Attention/Reasoning Ability Test,and Depression Scale from the Epidemiological Survey Center were used to investigate and analyze the mediating role of reasoning and attention abilities in the relationship between growth mindset and depression.Results Growth mindset was significantly negatively correlated with depression(r=-0.38,P<0.01).The mediation analysis indicated that growth mindset could predict adolescent depression through the mediating roles of reasoning and attention abilities.The direct effect(β=-0.89)and the mediating effect(β=-0.34)accounted for 72.19% and 27.81% of the total effect,respectively.Conclusions Growth mindset can not only directly predict depression in a negative direction but also negatively predict depression through the mediating roles of reasoning and attention abilities.
