中美出版物交换的历史实践分析(1949-1979)——以北京图书馆为例

Historical Practice Analysis of the Publication Exchange between China and the United States from 1949 to 1979——Taking Beijing Library for Instance

出版物国际交换是促进图书馆外文文献资源建设,推动不同文化互通互鉴的重要途径。通过对北京图书馆出版物国际交换业务档案的梳理,分析并总结了新中国成立至中美建交三十年间北京图书馆与美国文化机构进行出版物交换合作的内容与特征。梳理并总结这一特殊时期中美出版物交换的历史实践,对明晰未来出版物国际交换工作的战略方向,推动新时期中美人文交流具有重要意义。

International exchange of publications is an important approach to promoting the construction of foreign literature resources in libraries and strengthening mutual learning among different cultures.The research analyzes and summarizes the content and characteristics of the publication exchange cooperation between Beijing Library and U.S.cultural institutions from the founding of People’s Republic of China to the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States by sorting out the files of international exchange of publications of Beijing Library.To sort out and summarize the historical practice of China-US publication exchange of this special period is of great significance for clarifying the strategic direction of future development in this area as well as enhancing the China-US cultural exchange in the new era.
