The Practical Value of Traditional Chinese Culture as the“Root”of the Party's Innovative Theory

“中华优秀传统文化是我们党创新理论的‘根’”,这是继党的二十大之后习近平总书记对中华优秀传统文化最新的价值判断,充分体现了中国共产党人对自身文化使命的清醒认识和对党的创新理论的规律性把握,内蕴深刻的认识论、方法论思想,具有独特的实践价值。激活中华优秀传统文化,为党的创新理论奠定坚实的实践基础,让马克思主义在中国牢牢扎根,必须坚持党的全面领导和全面从严治党,不断夯实马克思主义的历史基础和群众基础,不断赋予科学理论鲜明的“中国特色”;必须深入研究马克思主义与中华优秀传统文化的契合性,把马克思主义的方法论和革命性品质与中华优秀传统文化深入贯通;必须坚定文化自信,夯实马克思主义中国化时代化的文化自信思想基础,打牢中国特色社会主义文化自信赖以立足的实践场域;在深化践行“双创”思想中,开辟马克思主义中国化时代化新境界。

As General Secretary Xi Jinping lately puts it,“Traditional Chinese culture is the root of the party's innovative theory”. This comment is his judgement of value of traditional Chinese culture. It has practical values with its profound epistemological and methodological significance by reflecting the sober awareness of the party's cultural mission and the understanding of the innovation theory. In order to activate traditional Chinese culture,lay a solid practical foundation for the party's innovative theory,and allow Marxism to take root in China,we must uphold the party's overall leadership and adhere to full and strict governance over the party,consolidate the foundation of Marxism,and endow the scientific theories with distinctive“Chinese characteristics”. We must explore the compatibility between them in depth and integrate Marxist methodology and revolutionary qualities with traditional Chinese culture. We must also strengthen the cultural confidence,consolidate the ideological foundation of cultural confidence and Sinicization of Marxism,and lay a solid foundation for the practice of self-reliance. In deepening the practice of“Innovation and Entrepreneurship”,we could open up a new realm of the modernization of Marxism in China.
