Johannes Vermeer is a representative painter of the Dutch Small School of Painting in the 17th century.His painting techniques are highly personalized,and his interior scene paintings show a quiet and harmonious atmosphere.However,Vermeer was immersed in expressing poetic family daily life with pure colors and soft light,reflecting the peaceful and self-satisfied spiritual world of rich family life in Delft.The quiet and harmonious atmosphere in Vermeer's works made his works beyond mediocrity.In this paper,by studying the color characteristics and light techniques in Vermeer's indoor scene paintings,it explores the painting technique factors that make Vermeer's works present the characteristics of tranquility and harmony.
