毛竹良种‘元宝竹’

元宝竹(Phyllostachys edulis‘Yuanbao’)是在毛竹栽培过程中选育出来的优良栽培品种。经多年纯化、繁育、性状特征观测和区域试验,其变异性状稳定,2022年通过国家林木良种审定(国S-SV-PED-005-2022)。元宝竹株型较毛竹低矮,株高4~5 m,秆扁圆形,节间局部凹陷,节间上部略粗于下部,节波状,从侧面看呈元宝状;节间短缩,分枝以下节间长通常小于10 cm;枝条排列紧密,枝叶浓密。元宝竹具有较高的观赏价值和经济价值,在园林绿化和景观工程中具有广阔的应用前景。

Phyllostachys edulis‘Yuanbao’is an improved variety selected from the cultivation of Ph.edulis.After years of purification,breeding,character observation and regional test,it owns consistent and stable variation characters and passes the examination and approval of improved varieties against S-SV-PED-005-2022 in 2022.‘Yuanbao’is 4-5 m high,lower than Ph.edulis.Its culm is flat and round in shape,and the internode is partially concave,with thicker upper part than the lower part,which makes it look like a shoe-shaped gold ingot from the side.The length between internodes is short,and the internode length below the branch is usually less than 10 cm.The branches are closely arranged and the branches and leaves are dense.‘Yuanbao’has high ornamental and economic values,and has a broad prospect to be applied in landscaping.
