摘要
高等教育质量观是人们对高等教育质量的理性认识和价值判断。在不同的历史发展阶段,高等教育质量观呈现不同的价值取向。修身与至善是中国古代的高等教育质量观,德性与神学是西方古代的高等教育质量观。西方近现代高等教育质量观体现为追求真理与钻研高深学问,而中国近现代高等教育质量观则强调知行合一和求真致用。进入20世纪中叶以后,高等教育质量观面临着行政挤压、市场化冲击、数据化束缚等困境。21世纪现代大学的高质量发展需要促进求真与求善的协调统一以及工具理性与价值理性的平衡和谐。
View of quality of higher education is rational understanding and value judgment on higher education quality. It has different value orientations in different stages. Self-cultivation and perfection are China’s ancient view of quality of higher education, while virtue and theology are the western ancient one. Since modern times, the view in the West has embodied the pursuit of truth and the study of profound knowledge, while the one in China has emphasized the unity of knowledge and practice and of truth and application. Since the middle of the 20th century, the view has faced multiple dilemmas, such as administrative squeeze, market impact and data impede. High-quality development of modern universities in the 21st century needs to unit the seeking of truth and goodness, and the rationality of tool and value.
