中国式现代化的和平挑战与化解路径——对“修昔底德陷阱”的历史辨析及其防范

Chinese-style modernization:Peaceful Challenge and the Path to a Solution——Historical Analysis and Prevention of Thucydides Trap

党的二十大报告指出,“中国式现代化是走和平发展道路的现代化”。中国坚持在和平发展道路上推进现代化,造福中国、利好世界,为推动人类文明进步作出巨大贡献。面对世界百年未有之大变局,如何统筹维护和塑造国家安全,防范和化解前进道路上的重大风险,必须高度重视中美两国陷入“修昔底德陷阱”的风险。“修昔底德陷阱”并非是国际关系的铁律,其真正价值在于提醒我们在中国式现代化的发展进程中,必须高度重视崛起国与守成国之间权力分配的结构性矛盾,寻找到一条能使双方核心利益共存、避免陷入零和博弈的共赢之道。站在世界历史演进的重要关头,采取积极举措,推动中美关系重回正轨,不仅有助于为中国式现代化构筑一个更加安全的发展环境,同时对全面构建人类命运共同体,促进世界和平进步发展,实现中华民族伟大复兴意义重大而深远。

It is pointed out on the CPC’s report to the 20 th National Congress that“Chinese modernization is modernization of peaceful development”,which is advantageous for both China and the rest of the world and makes a significant contribution to the advancement of human civilization.As the world is experiencing a great change which has been unseen over the last one hundred years,particular attention must be paid to both the risk of Thucydides Trap between China and the US,and the structural contradiction in the power distribution between emerging countries and defending countries.And solutions that will benefit both parties and avoid a zero-sum situation must be found.Taking proactive steps to improve China-US relations at this pivotal moment in history will not only contribute to a more secure environment for the Chinese path to modernization,but also have a significant and far-reaching impact on the construction of a community with a shared future for humanity,on the promotion of world peace,progress,and development,and on the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
