晚明的《天工开物》,区别于中国古代官方手工业造物文献著作的一个显著特点是书中对涉及设计伦理价值着墨较多。文章在对《天工开物》的图像文本分析、文献梳理与实物考察的基础之上,认为《天工开物》中蕴含着深刻而恒久的设计伦理价值,主要包括重人轻天、以人为本、备物致用、崇尚功用、制器尚俭、生态至上等,至今仍具有普世意义,为研究者提供了其造物伦理内涵与外延,在造物与价值引领层面与实践相资的可能性。
