人类的历史就是一部文明发展的历史。人类文明新形态作为中国特色社会主义的伟大实践,是对“人类文明何去何从”这一时代之问作出的中国解答。就其出场而言,人类文明新形态是对马克思恩格斯文明思想的吸收和对中华优秀传统文化的继承,在中国共产党百年奋斗历程的积淀中实现了对资本主义文明的超越。从丰富内涵上看,人类文明新形态本质上是社会主义的文明形态,其特征是由中国共产党领导的现代文明的中国版本,其结构表现为五位一体的整体文明。从世界意义上看,人类文明新形态不仅为发展中国家走向现代化提供了全新选择,也为丰富世界文明多样性作出了新的贡献,更是为人类文明的进步注入了新动力。

The history of human evolution is the history of the development of civilization. The new model for human advancement, as a great practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics, is China's answer to the question of where human civilization is headed in this era. As far as its appearance is concerned, the new model for human advancement is the absorption of Marx and Engels' civilization thought and the inheritance of the excellent traditional Chinese culture. More importantly, it has injected new impetus into the progress of human civilization.
