The Historical Deposits and Characteristics of the New Era of Chinese Studies(topic for a special discussion)

中国历史悠久、文明灿烂;近代中国历经人民蒙难、文明蒙尘而奋起抗争,在中国共产党的领导下创建“青春之中华”,实现民族独立、人民解放,建立了新中国。新中国在历史中国延续和发展的基础上,开启中华民族发展进步新纪元,开辟、坚持和发展中国特色社会主义,探索、推进和拓展中国式现代化,国家不断富强,人民更加幸福。中华文明绵延发展,中华文化繁荣兴盛,中华民族精神和时代精神成为中国特色社会主义物质文明、政治文明、精神文明、社会文明和生态文明建设的精神力量与不竭源泉,实现中华民族伟大复兴进入了不可逆转的历史进程。于是,走进中国、了解中国、认识和传播中国,业已在世界范围内日渐成为一种社会风尚和学术风气,中国学也成为一种国际“显学”,并促使其由过去“他塑”的“汉学”“海外中国学”“国外中国学”发展而为“自塑”“他塑”交流互鉴的“世界中国学”,特别是观照历史、观照时代,呼唤构建“新时代中国学”,推动更好地“讲好中国故事、传播好中国声音”。国史研究特别是国史哲学,赋予新时代中国学以新的时代内涵和自主知识体系。发展新时代中国学,就是要在世界和中国发展大历史中解读中国实践、构建中国理论,同时立足中国、借鉴国外,挖掘历史、把握当代,推动构建中国话语和中国叙事体系,真实、立体、全面地展示中国和可信、可爱、可敬的中国形象,让世界认知“发展中的中国”“开放中的中国”“新时代的中国”“为人类文明作贡献的中国”。为在加快构建中国特色哲学社会科学中推进新时代中国学理论与方法建设,我们与河北学刊杂志社一起策划组织了本组专题讨论,结合新时代中国学发展建设中的若干历史、理论与学术问题进行多方面探讨,以期引领和推动新时代中国学研究不断向纵深发展。

China has a long history and splendid civilization. On the basis of the continuation and development of historical China, New China has ushered in a new era of development for the Chinese nation. The continuous development of Chinese civilization and the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation have entered an irreversible historical process, so Chinese studies have also become an international “prominent learning”. The study of national history, especially the philosophy of national history, endows the new era of Chinese studies with new era connotations and independent knowledge systems. The development of Chinese studies in the new era is to interpret Chinese practice and construct Chinese theory in the context of the world and China’s development history. At the same time, we should base ourselves on China, learn from foreign countries, explore history, grasp contemporary times, promote the construction of Chinese discourse and narrative system, and truly, stereoscopically, and comprehensively showcase China and the trustworthy, lovely, and respectable image of China. In order to accelerate the construction of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics and promote the construction of theories and methods in the new era of Chinese studies, we have planned and organized this group of thematic discussions together with Hebei Academic Journal, with the aim of leading and promoting the continuous development of research in the new era of Chinese studies in depth.
