Infiltration and Disintegration:Ming and Qing Novels from the Perspective of Confucian Classics

儒家经典是各个历史时期儒家思想精华的汇集,“经学”则是不同时代儒生对儒家经典的解读,反映了儒家思想观念的发展与衍化。明清时期,一方面,儒家经典及“经学”对小说创作产生了深远影响,左右着作家的创作理念;另一方面,面对复杂的社会生活,明清小说家又在一定程度上对儒家正统观念作出了修正乃至背离,消解了儒家正统观念对于“经”的释义。这一时期,作家们对儒家经典及“经学”的不同解读制约和影响着小说创作,使其呈现出多彩的奇观,丰富了中国古典小说艺术宝库。

Confucian classics are the collection of the essence of Confucian thoughts in various historical periods,and Confucianism is the interpretation of Confucian classics by Confucian scholars in different times,reflecting the development and evolution of Confucian ideas.During the Ming and Qing dynasties,on the one hand,Confucian classics and Confucianism had a profound impact on novel creation,influencing the authors’creative philosophy.On the other hand,in the face of complex social life,Ming and Qing novelists to some extent revised or even deviated from the Confucian orthodoxy,dispelling the interpretation of“classics”by the Confucian orthodoxy.During this period,writers’different interpretations of Confucian classics and Confucianism constrained and influenced novel creation,presenting colorful wonders and enriching the artistic treasure of Chinese classical novels.
