On Annie Ernaux’s“Metabiography”Writing in A Man’s Place

2022年诺贝尔文学奖获奖作家安妮·埃尔诺以其介于文学、历史学、社会学之间的独特写作风格而闻名,而在她“无人称自传”代表作《悠悠岁月》之前,埃尔诺的文学追求与写作旨趣已经寓于《位置》《一个女人》等作品中。面对来自记忆与写作两方面的“延异”,在“无人称自传”的标志性写作特色之前,埃尔诺以一种可称为“元传记”的策略作为对抗个人化写作不可靠性的手段雏形;在此基础上,对埃尔诺写作策略的溯源也终将有助于理解作品以及作家在福柯、布尔迪厄等人的影响下超越文学本身的“民族志”愿景。

Annie Ernaux,the award-winning writer of the 2022 Nobel Prize in Literature,is famous for her unique writing style between literature,history and sociology.Before her representative work The Years which is known as“impersonal autobiography”,Ernaux’s literary pursuit and writing interest have been embodied in A Man’s Place,A Woman’s Story and other works.In the face of the“Différance”in both memory and writing,before the symbolic writing feature of“impersonal autobiography”,Ernaux took a strategy that can be called“metabiography”as the embryonic form of a means to combat the unreliability of personalized writing.On this basis,tracing the origin of Ernaux’s writing strategies will eventually help to understand the works and the writer’s social concern beyond literature itself under the influence of Foucault,Bourdieu and others.
