Mobile phone distraction in classes is a common problem in universities.Risk factors for this problem, which are class evaluation, function needs and individual characteristics, were outlined through qualitative analysis. In view of the risk factors associated with classes,a questionnaire of“real-time”classroom assessment was developed to measure degrees of mobile phone distraction risks. The questionnaire includes four dimensions, pedagogical appeal, understandability of course content, monitoring power in classroom and fluency of effective delivery, with a total of 12 items, and demonstrates sound reliability and validity. It is worthy in future research to explore the degree of prediction and mechanisms between the dimensions and mobile phone distraction in classes.
