中外英语学术书评语篇言据性与 身份构建对比研究——基于语言学与应用语言学领域书评的个案研究

摘要 本研究从国际语言学与应用语言学类英文期刊收集中国作者和英语本族语作者发表的学术书评,对比分析其言据性特征和由此构建的身份特征。研究发现,两组作者书评语篇的言据性特征在总体上共性大于差异性,但在诸多具体细节上差异性大于共性;两组作者通过言据性所构建的作者身份呈现不同特征,两者虽都构建了著作介绍者和评价者身份,但中国作者更偏向著作介绍者身份,英语本族语作者则两种身份并重。研究认为,民族大文化和学科小文化是影响中外作者言据话语实践及其所构建身份的可能原因。研究结果部分印证了修辞偏好与文化以及话语实践与身份存在关联性等观点。 This study built two corpora of English academic book reviews by Chinese and native English writers from key international journals of linguistics and applied linguistics with the purpose of making a contrastive study of the patterns of evidentiality and its function in constructing authorial identities by the two groups of writers.The results of the study showed that although there are more commonalities than differences in the overall pattern of evidentiality,there do exist more differences in the specific uses of evidentials.The results also showed that there exist discrepancy between the constructed identities in book reviews by the two groups of writers.Although both groups constructed introductory and evaluative identities,the Chinese writers show a greater preference to the introductory identity,while the native English writers value both of the identities.The possible reasons for the discrepancy might be due to the different national big cultures and disciplinary small cultures.The results partly proved the assumptions of the relevance of rhetorical preference and culture,the relation of discursive practices and identity.
