The act of meritocracy is one of the important symbols of Chinese excellent traditional political culture,including the rich wisdom of the Chinese nation.The idea of meritocracy comes from the Chinese humanistic spirit of people-oriented and the traditional political wisdom of governing by virtue.From the perspective of traditional political culture,the connotation of Meritocracy is mainly reflected in three aspects:The basic principle of“balancing of virtue and ability”,the social effect of“appointing upright of officials and removing the crooked ones”,and the strategy of“identifying and applying talents”.The method of Meritocracy is not only a model of traditional Chinese political wisdom,but also has significant implications for the current cadre evaluation of the Communist Party of China,which is reflected in adhering to political standards,maintaining self-restraint political ecology,and taking a closer look and multi-angle methods to evaluate the cadre’s performance.
