Objective To analyze the status and risk factors of stigma in patients with permanent colostomy after rectal cancer surgery. Methods A total of 75 rectal cancer patients who underwent permanent colostomy in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from January to December 2021 were selected as the research objects. The Social Impact Scale(SIS)was used to evaluate the status of stigma of patients after surgery.A self-designed baseline questionnaire was used to record patients'age, gender, education level, marital status and other relevant information. The SIS scores of patients with different characteristics were compared Results The SIS score of 75 patients with permanent colostomy after rectal cancer surgery ranged from 37 to 85,with an average of(62.35±8.64).There were statistically significant differences in SIS scores of patients with different education levels, anxiety, social support and hope levels(P<0.05).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that low education level, anxiety, low social support and low hope level were risk factors affecting the stigma of patients with permanent colostomy after rectal cancer surgery(P<0.05).Conclusion The stigma of patients with permanent colostomy after rectal cancer surgery is high, which may be affected by their education levels, anxiety, social support and hope levels.
