Evolution of US Indo-Pacific Strategy and The Situation Across Taiwan Strait

美国印太战略以制衡与“规制”中国为核心目标,其机制与内涵在拜登政府时期进一步延伸拓展。中国台湾在特朗普时期即被纳入美国印太战略框架,于拜登任内扮演美国“主要区域伙伴”,在军事防卫、经济科技和区域安全上全面配合美国对华竞争战略。拜登政府采取印太多边结盟和增强威慑介入台海安全事务,着力对冲中国政府“遏制台独”、促进统一战略。美国维持中国台湾所谓“事实独立”和台海两岸“分离”以服务其印太战略,将继续对台海局势产生复杂影响。

The Indo-Pacific region has been the dominant area of Sino-US strategic competition.To balance and contain China is the priority of US Indo-Pacific strategy,the mechanism and connotation of which have been further extended since Biden administration.China Taiwan has been aligned with the framework of US Indio-Pacific strategy since Trump administration.In tandem with Biden government's security strategy,China Taiwan acted as a"major regional partner"of US in Indo-Pacific arena.China Taiwan administration completely collaborated with US competitive strategy against China in fields of military defense,economy,science and technology and regional security.The Biden administration intervenes in Taiwan affairs by multilateral alliance and enhanced deterrence,which aims to counterweighting China's strategy of"curbing China Taiwan independence"and promoting reunification.The US strategy of preserving so-called China Taiwan"de facto independence"and maintaining the status quo between the two sides of the China Taiwan strait so as to serve its Indo-pacific interests,which will continue to exert complicated impacts on the evolving situation across the China Taiwan Strait.
