This article briefly introduces the application fields of short chain chlorinated parafins and the relevant regulations and standards which restrict their used at home and abroad.The detection methods of short chain chlorinated paraffins in materials such as leather and textiles are compared,and the suggestions to prevent the risk of excessive content of short chain chlorinated paraffins in leather products and footwear products are proposed.
