The levelling roll diameter and distance are the key basic parameters for multi-roll leveler.The paper analyzed the levelling roll diameter and distance influencing factors,such as nipping condition,touching stress and work roll strength factors,and got the conclusion that levelling roll strength is the key influencing factor for levelling roll diameter and distance.It is the important factor should be considered for deciding levelling roll diameter and distance.The other factors can be used to estimate applicability of levelling roll diameter and distance decided by levelling roll strength.The conclusion may give us some guidance for designing and developing multiroll leveler.
