C-peptide and microvascular complications in diabetes

摘要 随着社会经济的不断发展,糖尿病发病率不断上升。糖尿病患者发生微血管并发症的风险增加,严重影响患者的生活质量和预期寿命。在糖尿病实验动物模型和早期临床试验发现,补充C肽有助于减轻糖尿病引起的周围神经病变和肾脏损伤。因此,提高对C肽在微血管并发症病理生理学中作用的认识,对于开发基于C肽的新疗法具有重要意义。本文就C肽的作用机制及其对糖尿病周围神经病变、糖尿病肾病影响的研究进展作一综述。 With the continuous development of social economy,the incidence of diabetes mellitus is constantly increasing.In addition,diabetic patients are at higher risk of microvascular complications,which seriously affects their quality and expectancy of life.In experimental animal models of diabetes and early clinical trials in patients with diabetes,C-peptide supplementation has been found to have beneficial effects on diabetes-induced peripheral neuropathy and kidney damage.Thus,improving our understanding on role of C-peptide in pathophysiology of microvascular complications has important implications for development of C-peptide based new therapies.In this review,mechanism of C-peptide and its effect on diabetic peripheral neuropathy,diabetic retinopathy and diabetic nephropathy were reviewed.
