摘要
本文以新见史料1934年《土山湾慈母堂印书馆图书价目表》为线索,通过对具备“教材属性”的出版物对这一局部类型化书籍制品的整体考量与分类探讨,聚焦具有宗教属性的土山湾印书馆在回应时代变局和学制更迭过程中所触发的沿革转型。笔者遴选土山湾文语与科学两类代表性教材,尝试辨析其立体面向与修正意图,解读徐家汇新耶稣会力图应对社会嬗变和政教张力的编译出版策略,以呈现耶稣会“适应政策”在华的历史接续与使命革新,及其为谋求主动参与中国近代化进程的实践活动客观上促成的知识流转与文化认同。
The present paper,probing into a catalogue of books published by the Xujiahui(Zi-ka-wei)-based Jesuit orphanage in 1934,aspires to illuminate the reform and transformation of a printing house known as Tushanwan(Tou-se-we)adapting itself to the time.To do this,it intensively explores Tushanwan's representative language and science textbooks in the hope that the Jesuits'adaptable China strategy striving for the Chinese modernity,dissemination of knowledge,and cultural identity would be showcased.
