In 1920,a sensational event of“the trend of evaluating Confucius”occurred in the educational circles of Shaanxi Province.The incident was caused by the disagreement between Guo Xiren and Wang Shoujin regarding Confucius and his teachings,which later attracted the extensive participation of many teachers and students in Shaanxi Province.It has become a famous event of the old and new dispute in the modern ideological and cultural history of Shaanxi Province,which had a certain impact on the local society and the subsequent revolutionary cause.
