摘要
莺莺之弟、崔家男丁欢郎自《莺莺传》起一直广泛存在于各种《西厢》题材小说、戏剧、曲艺、美术作品中,直接、间接出现于出场报门、赴斋祭相、寺围谋计、谢恩悔婚、事漏拷红等重要关目。从《莺莺传》《商调蝶恋花》中容甚温美的崔门弱子,到《董西厢》中亲切可感的畅好台孩、《王西厢》中存在弱化的螟蛉小厮,再到《李西厢》中过于老成的相府舍人、《田西厢》中好学擅问的读书幼童,欢郎形象一脉相承又几经变迁。欢郎之于《西厢》有历史、社会方面存在的必要,各作者在一定取舍中运用欢郎推动剧情发展、塑造其他人物,形成了各有优劣、丰富有致的欢郎形象的多维。
Huanlang,the younger brother of the heroine Yingying and a male member of the CUI family,has been widely characterized in various novels,dramas,qu-yi(folk art forms),and artistic works related to the play Xi-xiang(Western Chamber)since the initiation of Yingying-zhuan(Biography of Yingying).He is presented directly or indirectly in important events such as,guiding the guest,offering sacrifices,and making strategy in the temple etc.His images have undergone several changes,for instance,he is the pretty“little boy”in Yingying-zhuan,then he is the friendly young man with imposing appearance in the folk art work Dong-xi-xiang,the weak page in the play Wang-xi-xiang,the overly mature secretary to the minister in Li-xi-xiang and the earnest and inquisitive young student in Tian-xi-xiang.Huanlang has historical and social significance for the play Xi-xiang,and each author employs Huanlang to advance the plot and shape other characters,and thus it has formed a multidimensional characterizations of Huanlang image with each having its rich and unique features.
