冲突与融合——社会史视域下的格什温《蓝色狂想曲》

摘要 从社会史的角度看,格什温的《蓝色狂想曲》是新旧时代精神碰撞、雅俗艺术风尚交汇、多元音乐文化融合的产物,体现了严肃音乐与流行音乐结合的一种新的音乐风格。它是在特定历史时期,因社会各阶层、群体需求的不一致,审美趣味的差异形成冲突和张力,而由音乐家、受众音乐评论者、市场营销者等多方合力促成的。该作品的创作和演出作为一个标志性事件,引起了对音乐之“正统”与“非正统”、雅与俗的观念重塑,从而使当代音乐创作兴起多元融合之风,社会音乐生活转向多元并存的局面。 From the perspective of social history,Gershwin’s“Rhapsody in Blue”originated in the collision between old and new thoughts,the convergence of elegant and vulgar styles,and the integration of diverse musical cultures,which presented a new musical style combineing classical with pop music.It was jointly created by musicians,audiences as well as music critics and marketers in a specific historical period with different needs and aesthetic tastes of different classes.The creation and performance of this work,as a landmark event,remolded the concept of“orthodoxy”and“unorthodoxy”,of elegance and vulgarity,and promoted a pluralistic fusion in contemporary music composition and a pluralistic musical life.
