生态翻译学视角下外宣翻译的“三生”“十化”——以《中华源·河南故事》为例

RESEARCH ON“THREE ECO-LIVES”AND“TEN-TION”OF PUBLICITY ORIENTED TRANSLATION FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF ECO-TRANSLATOLOGY:A CASE OF STORIES FROM HENAN OF CHINESE CIVILIZATION

生态翻译学提出“翻译即文本移植”“翻译即适应选择”“翻译即生态平衡”三大核心理念,并将文本生命、译者生存和翻译生态作为三大研究问题域。通过分析外宣文本《中华源·河南故事》的“三生”主题,探求外宣翻译是什么、谁在做、如何做、为何做四大基本问题。此外,从译者的适应选择视角分析该文本文化负载词翻译,分析译者如何运用“十化”译法实现文本成功移植和翻译生态平衡。研究发现:译者翻译生态文化负载词时采用了“自然化”译法;翻译物质文化负载词时采用了“原生化”译法和“补生化”译法;翻译社会文化负载词时采用了“译生化”译法和“多元化”译法;翻译神话传说负载词时主要采用了“原生化”译法,同时以“适境意识”为原则。

Eco-translatology puts out three core concepts:“translation as textual planting transplantation”,“translation as adlaptation selection”and“translation as eco-balance”.Based on this,its problem domains are located in textual life,translator survival and translational ecology.By analyzing“three eco-lives”of Stories from Henan of CHINESE CIVILIZATION,this paper tries to explain four basic problems,namely,what is publicity oriented translation,who translates it,how to translate it and why translate it.After that,this paper explores the translation of culture-loaded expressions of this series of publicity oriented text from the view of translators’adaptive selection.It analyses how“10-tion”translation are used to achieve successful text transplanting and eco-balance.It found that“naturalization”is used in translating ecological culture-loaded expressions.“Source-contextualization”and“adaptive addition”are used in translating material culture-loaded.“Target-contextualization”and“multi-transformation”are used in translating social culture-loaded expressions.The findings also show that translators still keep“adaptive”consciousness when“source-contextualization”is used in translating religious culture-loaded expressions.By discussing the experience of translating Stories from Henan of CHINESE CIVILIZATION from the perspective of eco-translatology,this study hopes to enlighten publicity oriented translation research and promotes Chinese culture going out.
