周以诗乐化性,实现了礼乐由崇德向治心的重大转变,注重通过乐歌对表演者、接受者实施多层次、多角度的礼乐教化,使人和敬、和顺、和亲,最终达到万民亲附,天下大治的效果。诗乐可以明心见性,使人感知自己情绪的变化,再实施积极的干预、调节与提升,培植百姓的善心,快速、大量养成人们和平、中庸、稳定的德性。周诗乐的表演者必须自觉优化情性,不断提升德性,以与歌诗相适用。周诗乐对接受者进行化性,实现深入、持久的教化功能,维护核心价值观。《周颂》化性以中和,《商颂》《齐颂》化性以勇义,培养君子之德,提倡君子之风,引领良好的社会风气。《大雅》铺张事业。《小雅》维系着君臣、兄弟、朋友间的和谐关系,弘扬忠信、孝友、廉耻等人伦价值。《乐记》将以风化性分为六种情况,好的风教化人民养成康乐、刚毅、肃静、慈爱的德性,差的风则使人民养成忧虑、淫乱的德性。周以诗乐化性,进而化俗,构建立体的教化体系,从而实现社会的长治久安。

The ritual music in the Zhou Dynasty made a great transition from advocating virtues to cultivating morality.It educated people through ritual music from multi dimensions to enhance the unity and peace of the kingdom.The music for poetry clears mind and discloses nature and helps people to be calm,moderate and stable.The performers should consciously promote their virtues to be suitable for the musical poems while the listeners were educated intensively and consistently to maintain the core values of the society.Eulogies of Zhou educate people with moderation and harmony,and Eulogies of Shang and Qi with righteousness and braveness.Major Court Hymns elaborates on enterprise and Lesser Court Hymns on loyalty,faith,filial duty,friendship and the sense of shame.The Record of Music classifies the educational function of music into six categories including the superior ones that educate people to be happy,resolute,calm and benevolent,and inferior ones that make people anxious and licentious.The Zhou Dynasty used music for poetry to shape the mind of people and further to transform social mores,by which to realize long-term peace and order of the society.
