What is the Metaverse?An Analytical Conceptual Framework

通过系统性的文献梳理,综述式地呈现了现有研究中精准提出的38个元宇宙概念,并分解出138个关键词;进而基于要素组合的方式,分类、抽象与提炼出15个子要素与三大核心要素;最终,在此基础上构建一个元宇宙的概念框架。其中,技术性要素是构建元宇宙的基石,元宇宙也是技术变革的产物;文明性要素是衡量元宇宙发展的重要标准,高度繁荣的数字文明是元宇宙演化的必要条件;连接性要素是元宇宙价值的根本体现,虚实共生、虚实相融将是元宇宙与现实世界发展的未来趋势。基于这三大要素的元宇宙概念框架能为后续研究提供分析依据。

A systematic literature review presents 38 metaverse concepts precisely proposed in existing studies and identifies 138 keywords.Then,15 sub-elements and three core elements are classified and refined based on the methodology of elemental combination.Finally,a conceptual framework of the metaverse is constructed on this basis.As results show,technology is the cornerstone of metaverse construction,and the metaverse is also the outcome of technological change.Civilization is an important criterion to measure the development of the metaverse,and a highly prosperous digital civilization is necessary for the evolution of the metaverse.Connectivity is the fundamental embodiment of metaverse value,and the symbiosis and integration of virtual and real worlds will be the trend.The conceptual framework of the metaverse based on these three elements can provide an analytical basis for subsequent research.
