摘要
关于虚拟现实技术支持的语言教学理论和实证研究近年来蓬勃发展,文章就此梳理了虚拟现实技术应用于语言教学的国内外研究现状.总体而言,国内外现有理论研究中对语言教学听、说关注较多,读、写方面的研究还特别少.比较而言,国外虚拟现实技术应用于语言教学的理论研究和实证研究同步发展;国内虚拟现实技术应用于语言教学的研究理论较多,实践案例不足.同时文章还从三个方面讨论了目前虚拟现实技术应用于语言教学中的挑战.首先,由于虚拟现实技术应用于语言教学需要第三方工作人员研发和维护,这就对研发人员的专业背景和能力提出了挑战;其次,教师如何掌握设备使用、依托虚拟现实技术有效地设计教学,学生如何规范有效地使用设备也需进一步讨论;最后,如何克服设备本身带来的头晕等问题也需要进一步研究.
The theoretical and empirical research on language teaching supported by virtual reality technology has flourished in recent years.This paper reviews the research status of virtual reality technology in language teaching at home and abroad.On the whole,both foreign and Chinese researchers have paid more attention to listening and speaking in language teaching,and researches on reading and writing are particularly rare.Comparatively speaking,the theoretical and empirical research on the application of virtual reality technology to language teaching in foreign countries have developed simultaneously.However,there are many papers focusing on theories and relatively few practical case studies in China.At the same time,this paper also discusses the challenges of applying virtual reality technology to language teaching from three aspects.First of all,the application of virtual reality technology in language teaching requires technicians who master not only programming,maintenance skills but also teaching methodology;such interdisciplinary talents are scarce at present.Secondly,it is dificult for teachers to master the technology and design proper teaching plans,and difficult for students to learn how to use the equipment;Finally,how to overcome the discomfort caused by the equipment itself also needs further research.
