Objective To analyze the distribution and drug resistance of Candida albicans in a hospital from 2017 to 2021,and to provide evidence for rational drug use and control of Candida albicans infection. Methods The distribution of Candida albicans strains and the results of drug sensitivity test in a hospital from January 2017 to December 2021 were analyzed retrospectively. Results A total of 2415 strains of Candida albicans were isolated. The samples were mainly derived from sputum, urine and secretions, accounting for 39.01%(942/2415),31.14%(752/2415)and 17.31%(418/2415),respectively.The clinical departments were mainly from health ward, respiratory and critical ward and obstetrics and gynecology, accounting for 30.72%(742/2415),19.50%(471/2415)and 14.00%(338/2415),respectively.The resistance rates of Candida albicans to 5 antifungal agents were 0.01%to 1.48%,0.01%to 0.42%,0.87%to 2.74%,0.21%to 1.24%and 1.01%to 3.37%,respectively.The change of drug resistance of Candida albicans was not obvious. Conclusion The most common candida albicans in our hospital is Candida albicans, and the proportion of isolates in 2020 and 2021 shows a decreasing trend compared with the previous three years. The resistance rate of Candida albicans to antifungal drugs is generally low.
