Yan Yingxiu’s novel Crazy Flow explores the theme of female growth in the context of changing times.Through the description of the growth experiences of a group of“small town”characters born after the 1970s,the novel examines the complexity of the growth and enlightenment of the young generation in the 1980s and 1990s through the collision and entanglement of the ideals of the times,individual passions,local traditions and modernity.It can be regarded as a unique literary text writing contemporary local experience.
