Periodic Inspection and Defect Analysis of Spherical Storage Tank in Service

球形储罐作为工业生产常用的液体介质储罐,随着其应用数量越来越多,带来的安全隐患也与之增加。文章对某省近5 a内所检验的48台球形储罐进行汇总,对检验出的球罐缺陷的性质、产生部位、数量、安全等级等进行分析。通过规律分析出球罐缺陷产生的重点部位,指出环焊缝和柱腿角焊缝在检验过程中的重要性。对定期检验的重点部位和适宜选用的检测方式进行分析讨论,重点提出TOFD对埋藏缺陷检验的优势。为同行业球形储罐定期检验提供了实践性经验。

Spherical tanks are commonly used as liquid storage tanks in industrial production.With the increasing number of their applications,the potential safety hazards are also increasing.This article summarized 48 spherical tanks inspected in a province in recent 5 years,and analyzed the nature,location,quantity and safety level of the defects of spherical tanks inspected.The key points of spherical tank defects are analyzed by rules,and the importance of girth weld and column leg fillet weld in the inspection process was pointed out.The key parts of regular inspection and the appropriate inspection methods were analyzed and discussed,and the advantages of TOFD for buried defect inspection were put forward.It provided practical experience for periodic inspection of spherical tanks in the same industry.
