译者行为批评视角下《铁道游击队》英日译本对比

A Contrastive Study of English version and Japanese version of Tie Dao You Ji Dui:From the Perspective of Translator’s Behavior Criticism

作为“十七年”时期红色经典作品之一,长篇抗日小说《铁道游击队》1954年面世不久便被陆续翻译成英、俄、法、德、越、日等多种外语,其中英译本由无名译者翻译、1966年由国家翻译机构外文出版社出版,日译本由日本大东文化大学教师井上隆一翻译、1980年由日本民间出版社龙溪书舍出版,两译本均为迄今唯一英、日译本。英、日译者分别是制度化译者和市场化译者的典型代表。鉴于此,本文从译者行为批评视角对该英译本、日译本进行比较,就翻译选材动机、译文呈现和副文本内容三方面实证译者身份及译者行为与译文呈现的关系,以期充实译者行为批评理论内涵,为中国红色经典作品外译提供启示。

As one of the red classics of the“Seventeen Years”period,the novel Tie Dao You Ji Dui which tells the story of resisting against Japanese aggression was translated into English,Russian,French,German,Vietnamese,Japanese and other foreign languages soon after it appeared in 1954.The English version was translated by an unknown translator and published by the Foreign Language Press,an institutionalized translation agency,in 1966,and the Japanese version was translated by Inoue Takaichi,a teacher at Daito Bunka University in Japan,and published by Longxi Book House,a private Japanese publisher,in 1980.Both translations are the only English and Japanese translations to date.The English and Japanese translators are typical representatives of institutionalized translators and market-oriented translators,respectively.In view of the fact,the paper compares the two versions from the perspective of translator behavior criticism,and empirically demonstrates the relationship between translator’s identity,translator’s behavior and the presentation of the translated text in three aspects:the motivation for the selection of the material,the presentation of the translated text,and the content of the subtexts,in order to enrich the connotation of translator behavior criticism theory and provide inspiration for the foreign translation of Chinese red classics.
