MetsäFibre,started in 1973,is a leading producer of wood-based bioproducts,such as pulp,sawn timber,biochemicals and bioenergy.It produce pulp and bioproducts at four mills and sawn timber products at five sawmills in Finland.Since the 21st century,MetsäFibre has started the transformation from a traditional pulp manufacturer to a modern bioproducts supplier-2012 saw the completion of a bark gasification project at Joutseno plant and 2017 saw the operation of the newÄänekoski bioproducts plant.MetsäFibre’s unique bioproducts concept has achieved excellent environmental performance and material efficiency in the production process.
