党的十九届六中全会从五个方面科学总结了中国共产党百年奋斗的历史意义,第一次把“党的百年奋斗锻造了走在时代前列的中国共产党”作为重大历史意义。这一论断深刻反映了新时代中国共产党人高度的历史自觉和历史自信。通过系统梳理与深入分析,“走在时代前列”的科学意蕴,即以理想信念为精神本质、以科学理论为思想基础、以坚定实践为根本要求、以自我革命为政治品质。以此为标准衡量中国共产党百年伟大实践,可以看到,时代选择和造就了中国共产党,同时中国共产党也在创造、引领着时代。面对未来,中国共产党更加重视解决百年大党独有的难题,将不断提高继续走在时代前列的能力和水平,在以中国式现代化推动中华民族伟大复兴的进程中创造新的历史伟业。

The Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee summed up the historical significance of the Party’s struggles and endeavors in the past 100 years from five significant aspects,where the Party’s endeavors over the past century that have made the CPC a forerunner staying at the forefront of the times is judged as one of the five significant aspects.This judgment fully reflects Chinese communists high degree of historical confidence and historical consciousness in the New Era.According to a systematic and in-depth analysis,the scientific implication of staying at the forefront of the times are:the insistence on taking ideal and belief as the spiritual essence,the insistence on taking scientific theories as the ideological basis,the insistence on taking firm practice as the fundamental requirement,and the insistence on taking self-revolution as the political quality.According to"staying at the forefront of the times as a standard to measure the centennial great practice the CPC,it can be seen that the times has chosen and created the CPC,while the CPC is also creating and leading the times.In the face of the future,it is required that the CPC should attach great importance to solving the unique problems of the century-old Party,constantly improve the ability and level to stay at the forefront of the times,and create new historical achievements in the process of promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-style modernization.
