On Speeding up Building World-Class Universities and Advantaged Disciplines with Chinese Characteristics

一流大学和优势学科建设是党的二十大报告提出的高等教育发展战略任务,是在各项“重点发展政策”基础上提出的新要求,不仅有利于激发高等教育内生动力,更对于服务中国式现代化建设,实现中华民族伟大复兴中国梦,具有重大意义。梳理一流大学和优势学科建设的国际经验,对于加快建设中国特色、世界一流的大学和优势学科具有重要参考。鉴于此,我国应根据各大学和学科发展实际情况,采取有针对性的战略措施,包括升级一流大学建设计划、制定并实施优势学科建设国家计划、创造一流大学和优势学科发展的环境、开拓一流大学和优势学科办学数字化新空间、发挥一流大学和优势学科的引领作用。

The construction of first-class universities and advantaged disciplines are the strategic task of higher education development put forward by the report of the 20th CPC National Congress.It is a new requirement put forward on the basis of various“key development policies”.It is not only conducive to stimulating the innerdynamism of higher education,but also has great significance to the construction of serving the Chinese path to modernization,and achieve the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Studying the construction of international experience about the first-class universities and advantageous disciplines has important reference to accelerate the construction of world-class universities and advantaged disciplines with Chinese characteristics.In view of this,we should take targeted strategic measures based on the actual situation of the development of universities and disciplines,including upgrading the first-class university construction plan,formulating and implementing the national plan for the construction of advantaged disciplines,creating an environment for the development of first-class universities and advantaged disciplines,developing a new digital space for first-class universities and advantaged disciplines,and playing the leading role of first-class universities and advantaged disciplines.
