Translation in Building a Human Community with a Shared Future

人类命运共同体是一个超语言、超民族、超意识形态的存在,其理念是相互尊重、取长补短、合作共赢。从翻译学的角度看,民族与民族之间以及国家与国家之间的相互尊重、取长补短、合作共赢都离不开翻译。也就是说,翻译在构建人类命运共同体过程中具有不可替代的重要作用,因为它是不同语言之间沟通的桥梁,具有促进民族团结、促进知识交流、促进社会进步和促进文化自觉的功能。可以说,翻译对于社会的持久进步功莫大焉。本文以古今案例揭示,但凡强大而持久的民族和国家,无不借力翻译以实现民族团结、知识交流、社会进步和文化自觉,因此,在构建人类命运共同体的过程中,翻译的作用不可小觑。

Human Community with a Shared Future is a super-linguistic,super-ethnic,and super-ideological existence,whose philosophy is characterized by mutual respect,mutual study,and win-win cooperation.Viewed from the perspective of Translation Studies,such mutuality between nations and that between countries are dependent on translation.That is to say,translation plays an irreplaceable role in the process of building a human community with a shared future,since it is a bridge between different languages.Therefore,translation performs the functions of promoting national unity,knowledge exchange,social progress and cultural self-consciousness.Lasting social progress benefits from translation.Supported by ancient and modern practical cases,this paper reveals that all nations and all countries as lasting powers achieved the above-mentioned goals by means of translation.Therefore,the role of translation should never be underestimated in building a human community with a shared future.
