Normal crown-root ratio is an important indicator to determine the stability of teeth in the alveolar bone,whether they have good oral function and the long-term stability after various treatments in clinical orthodontic treatment.Understanding the definition,measurement methods,measurement tools,clinical application and influencing factors of the crown-root ratio in clinical practice will help orthodontists to achieve safe and efficient tooth movement and obtain stable correction effect in the correction of dental and jaw deformities.In this paper,the research progress on the application and influencing factors of crown-root ratio in orthodontic treatment is reviewed.
