贸易便利化与企业供应链安全——基于多元化和本土化视角

Trade Facilitation and Enterprise Supply Chain Security-A Perspective of Diversification and Localization

本文探究了贸易便利化如何通过促进企业供应链多元化和本土化提升企业供应链安全水平。基于2000—2013年中国工业企业数据库和海关数据库匹配数据,研究表明:贸易便利化通过降低进口成本显著提升了企业供应链的多元化水平;其对企业供应链的本土化存在“U”型影响,即当贸易便利化水平较低时,其通过增加中间品进口种类提高了企业供应链的对外依赖度,但从长期来看,贸易便利化通过促进企业研发提升了企业供应链的本土化程度,该结论在一系列稳健性检验中依然成立;此外,企业所在地区的产业集聚程度以及企业的全球价值链嵌入度会对贸易便利化与企业供应链安全的关系产生异质性影响。本文认为提升贸易便利化水平有利于保障企业供应链安全,推动产业链供应链现代化发展。

This paper examines how trade facilitation can enhance the security of enterprise supply chains by promoting diversification and localization.Our analysis,based on matched data from China's industrial enterprise database and customs database spanning from 2000 to 2013,indicates that trade facilitation significantly improves the diversification of enterprise supply chains by reducing import costs.Furthermore,trade facilitation has a"U-shaped"impact on the localization of enterprise supply chains.When the level of trade facilitation is low,trade facilitation increases the external dependence of enterprise supply chains by expanding the import of intermediate products.However,in the long run,trade facilitation promotes the localization of enterprise supply chains by fostering enterprise R&D.Our findings are robust to various sensitivity tests.Additionally,we find that the degree of industrial agglomeration and the embeddedness of the global value chain have a heterogeneous impact on the relationship between trade facilitation and enterprise supply chain security.We conclude that improving trade facilitation is essential to ensuring the security of enterprise supply chains and promoting the modernization of industrial supply chains.
