Natural weight loss health food is one of the most widely sold products in the current health care market.The illegal addition of banned substances to food by unscrupulous businessmen for profiteering and the unknowing use by consumers may produce some adverse reactions and cause serious health hazards,which is a major cause of food safety hazards.This paper briefly outlines the research progress of sibutramine and sibutramine detection techniques for illegal additives in weight loss health food,with a view to providing reference for research on improving detection techniques for illegal additives and for drug supervision departments to regulate such contraband products.
