Firdausi’s Persian epic Shahname is not only of great volume but also of great literary value“.The Four Tragedies”are the most famous.Sharvosh’s tragedy as a prominent representative is typical and unique in many aspects,such as story structure,characterization and tragic mode.This paper intends to analyze Sharvosh’s tragedy from three aspects:Dilemma,the reality of politics and relationship,and the fatalism and passive resistance of the character.This paper will explore and reveal how this tragedy happen and function through these aspects.
