As an important raw material in the field of contemporary art design,leather has been applied to all kinds of designs with its superior performance.In order to explore the application of leather materials in contemporary art environment,this paper analyzes the development status and future trend of contemporary art,and briefly discusses the application of leather materials in contemporary art design from three aspects,interior environment decoration design,ornament design and costume design.It is hoped that the beauty of design of leather materials can be demonstrated more through this analysis and discussion.
