Hundreds of thousands of sea otters once lived on the coast(海岸)of the North Pacific Ocean.For 200 years,sea otters were hunted for their fur which nearly wiped them Kelp out(使灭绝):With their disappearance(消失),the local ecosystem also changed.Sea otters eat sea urchins(海胆),which in turn(相应地),eat a plant called kelp.
