潘鲁生作为我国民艺界领军人,在民间艺术的研究、收藏、创作、理论梳理和现代性运用方面做出了重要贡献。潘鲁生始终坚持实地的民间田野考察,从泥土中来,走在人民群众之间,深度挖掘民间艺术素材,始终坚持着以人民为中心的基本立场。潘鲁生从民间将优秀传统艺术作品挖掘出来,并将其进行现代性转化,创造出既符合当代社会需求,又为人民群众所喜闻乐见的当代艺术形式,将民艺灵活生动地运用到当代设计与创作中,为当前艺术理论界、艺术创作界提供了一条可资借鉴的研究、创作路径。

Pan Lusheng,as a leading figure in the Folk Art field in China,has made important contributions in the research,collection,creation,theoretical sorting,and modern application of Folk Art.He has always insisted on field research in folk customs,starting from the soil,walking among the people,deeply excavating Folk Art materials,and always adhering to the basic stance of putting the people at the center.Pan Lusheng excavated excellent traditional Folk Art works from the folk,and transformed them into modern forms that not only meet the needs of contemporary society but are also popular among the people,flexibly and vividly applying Folk Art to contemporary design and creation,providing a research and creative path that can be learned from for the current art theory and art creation community.
